Four thinking puzzles, no ads, no accounts
Puzzeroo is a small, quiet puzzle app for children aged five to twelve. Mini sudoku, number pyramids, word search and kriss kross — eight hundred hand-checked levels that work completely offline, with nothing trying to sell to your child and nothing asking who they are.
Not released yet — in the meantime, the printable worksheets below are free and ready now.
See it in action
Every picture below is a straight screenshot of the app running on an iPhone — no mocked-up screens and no marketing text painted over the top. Big tap targets, one clear rule at the top of every puzzle, and a quiet celebration when it is finished.
Four kinds of thinking
Each puzzle type asks for something different — elimination, arithmetic, pattern-spotting, constraint-matching — so a child who bounces off one usually falls for another. Every type has two hundred levels, and a free printable pack you can try right now.
Mini Sudoku
Mini sudoku on 4x4 and 6x6 boards. Deduction without a single sum — every puzzle has one answer and never needs a guess.

What Puzzeroo does not do
Most of the decisions in this app were about what to leave out. Children's software has a bad reputation for good reasons, and the shortest way to explain Puzzeroo is by what is missing from it.
- No adverts, everNot banner ads, not video ads, not "watch this to continue". There is no ad network in the app at all.
- No accounts or sign-inNo email address, no name, no birthday, no profile. Nothing to remember and nothing to leak.
- No subscriptionOne optional purchase unlocks every level permanently, on every device signed in to your Apple Account.
- No internet neededEvery puzzle is generated on the device. It works in aeroplane mode, in the car, and on a hotel Wi-Fi that will not load.
- No streaks or timersNothing counts down, nothing nags, nothing punishes a child for putting it down for a fortnight.
- No third-party trackersNo advertising SDKs, no analytics companies, no social logins. See the privacy policy for exactly what is and is not collected.
Every puzzle has exactly one answer
This sounds like a detail and it is not. A great many puzzle apps and printable worksheets generate grids by filling them at random and hoping — which produces sudoku with two valid solutions, word searches where a word turns up twice, and answer keys that mark a correct child wrong.
Puzzeroo's four puzzle generators each run a solver over every puzzle before it is ever shown. A sudoku is discarded unless the solution count is exactly one. A kriss kross is discarded if any two same-length words could be swapped. A word search grid is re-scanned in all eight directions and rebuilt if a target word can be read in more than one place. A number pyramid is rejected unless exactly one set of numbers fits the clues.
Nothing in the app or on the worksheets ever requires a guess, and that is a property that has been checked rather than hoped for.
17 free printable worksheet packs
No email address, no sign-up, no watermark. Every pack is a four-page A4 PDF — three puzzles and a full answer key — generated by the same verified engines that power the app, and free to print, photocopy and hand out at home or in class.
The puzzles on the worksheets are not the puzzles in the app: they are generated from an entirely separate range, so printing them gives nothing away and a child can do both.
Questions parents ask
What age is Puzzeroo for?
Five to twelve. The easiest levels — 4x4 sudoku and addition-only pyramids — suit a five-year-old working alongside an adult, and the hardest ones will keep a twelve-year-old busy. Each of the four puzzle types has two hundred levels that step up gradually rather than jumping.
Does Puzzeroo need an internet connection?
No. Every puzzle is generated on the device, so the app works identically on a plane, in a car, or with the iPad in aeroplane mode. There is nothing to download after installing and nothing to wait for.
Are there adverts or in-app purchases aimed at children?
There are no adverts at all, and nothing in the app tries to sell to a child. There is a single optional one-off purchase that unlocks the later levels, and it sits behind the usual iOS purchase confirmation. There is no subscription, no loot box, no currency and no timer nagging anyone to come back.
Do you collect any personal data?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no email address and no name. Out of the box the app sends nothing at all: anonymous usage data is switched off until a grown-up turns it on in Settings, and can be switched back off in one tap. If it is on, what goes to our own server is which puzzle types get played, how long a session lasted and whether a level was finished — with no IP address recorded and no third parties involved. The privacy policy sets it all out in detail.
How many puzzles are there?
Eight hundred levels: two hundred levels in each of the four puzzle types, running seventy easy, seventy medium and sixty tricky. The first fifteen levels of every type are free, so there are sixty puzzles to try before deciding whether to buy.
Can I use it on more than one device?
Yes. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so it restores on any iPhone or iPad you sign in to at no extra cost. There is a Restore Purchases button in Settings if it does not happen automatically.
Are the printable worksheets really free?
Yes, and there is no email wall or sign-up. Every pack on this site is a direct PDF download, free to print, photocopy and hand out at home or in a classroom. They are generated by the same engines as the app, so every puzzle is original and has exactly one verified solution.
